Christmas Food Baskets

Because of the generosity of a lot of people and local businesses, in 2010 we were able to give 225 local families food for the holiday season. Last year we donated 200 baskets.

We packed the 225 boxes in 55 minutes - a new record! The deliver went just as fast - all boxes were on the road by 9:01AM (we started at 8:30AM). Our volunteers were wonderful!

The contents of each Basket consisted of a 5lb canned ham, fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, bread, canned goods, and many other food staples. Each Food Basket offers complete meals designed to feed a family of 4 for two to three days. The Milford Elks prepared and delivered the Food Baskets just before the holiday.

The Basket Committee wants to thank everyone that donated money and time to make this event a success in 2009. It was great to see a lot of newer members participate. Click on a picture below to enlarge.
